Future Targets: 104 GW of solar projects and 46.6 GW of wind projects are under implementation, supporting India’s goal of 500 GW non-fossil fuel energy by 2030.
Boosting Domestic Manufacturing: India’s solar module capacity is set to grow to 100 GW in three years, supported by increased Basic Customs Duty on renewable energy equipment and strategic government initiatives.
Investment & Challenges: The renewable energy budget for 2024 stands at ₹210 billion, with land acquisition identified as a key challenge being addressed in coordination with state governments.
