Our Goal
At AsOne, we’re all about building genuine connections among clean energy professionals, enthusiasts, and experts. We want everyone to have a positive experience and are committed to a harassment-free community.
Applicability and Scope
Our Code of Conduct applies to all areas of the AsOne community: public channels, private channels, threads, direct messages, forums, groups, comment sections, and live events, both online and offline. Violations of this code can result in sanctions or expulsion from the community, as decided by the administrators.
Creating a Welcoming and Safe Environment
We aim to foster a space where diverse individuals can collaborate and interact positively. Here’s how you can contribute to a positive environment:
- Use welcoming and inclusive language.
- Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Accept constructive criticism gracefully.
- Focus on what’s best for the overall community.
- Show empathy towards other members.
Anti-Harassment Policy
Harassment of any kind is not tolerated at AsOne. Examples include:
- Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurodiversity, physical appearance, pregnancy, veteran status, political affiliation, marital status, body size, age, race, nationality, ethnicity, immigration status, language, religion, or other identity markers.
- Unwelcome comments about a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, relationships, drugs, and employment.
- Deliberate misgendering or use of inappropriate pronouns.
- Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in inappropriate spaces.
- Physical contact and simulated physical contact (like “hug” or “backrub”) without consent or after a request to stop.

If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to an admin or moderator.
Reporting
If you’re being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have other concerns, please contact the administrators at moderators@asone.co. If the harasser is an admin, they will not be involved in handling the incident.
Our admin team will respond promptly. If no admins are online, prioritize your safety by logging out and/or emailing us at moderators@asone.co.
This code applies to all community spaces, but we also want to know about harassment by our members outside these spaces. We take all reports seriously, regardless of when or where the harassment occurred. We may exclude people from the community based on past behavior.
To protect volunteers from abuse and burnout, we reserve the right to reject reports made in bad faith. Reports intended to silence legitimate criticism may be deleted without response.
Enforcement Process
Every report of a code of conduct violation is taken seriously. If a member’s safety is immediately threatened, an admin may take appropriate action, including temporarily banning the offender. In less urgent situations, at least two admins will discuss the offense and agree on a suitable response, which will be communicated privately to the offender. Admin decisions are final.
We will respect requests for confidentiality to protect victims of abuse. At our discretion, we may publicly name someone about whom we’ve received harassment complaints or privately warn third parties if we believe it will increase safety. We will not name harassment victims without their consent.
Consequences
Participants asked to stop harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If harassment continues, administrators may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the community and identifying the harasser to other members. Parties involved may request to discuss the violation to prevent future incidents.
