GUVNL Invites Bids for 500 MW Solar Projects

• Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has issued a tender to procure 500 MW of solar power with an additional 500 MW greenshoe option.
• Open to new and existing projects across India; bids are due by September 17, 2024.
• Fees include ₹25,000 ($298) for the tender document and ₹300,000 ($3,577) processing fee.
• An earnest money deposit of ₹928,000 (~$11,065) per MW is required.
• Selected developers must submit a performance bank guarantee of ₹2.32 million (~$27,663) per MW.
• Projects without existing long-term PPAs and not part of other government programs are eligible.
• A minimum of 50 MW for interstate and 10 MW for state-connected projects is required.
• Solar modules must be from the MNRE’s approved list.
