Indian Government’s Module Manufacturer Conditions

– The Ministry for New and Renewable Energy reinstates the Approved List of Module Manufacturer (ALMM) conditions from April 1, 2024.

– ALMM will apply only to government-sponsored or subsidized projects, providing an exemption for private parties setting up projects under open access or as captives.

– The move aims to strike a balance between supporting domestic manufacturers and addressing the varied needs of developers, especially in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) segment.

– LC (Letter of Credit) has been extended as a buying option until March 31, 2024, to accommodate ongoing projects and ensure a smooth transition.
