India’s Wind Energy Capacity Dips in Q2 2024

  • India added 770 MW of wind energy capacity in Q2 2024, a 32% decline YoY from 1,139.9 MW in Q2 2023, and a 33% decrease QoQ.
  • The drop was attributed to delays in grid connectivity, land availability issues, and early monsoon impacts. Karnataka led with 450 MW, followed by Tamil Nadu (186 MW), Gujarat (130 MW), and Maharashtra (4.2 MW).
