Google-MNRE has introduced an online portal to verify Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) in solar PV modules, ensuring traceability and compliance.
-Hosted on the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) website, the portal verifies DCR by entering unique serial numbers on solar modules.
-Solar manufacturers on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) must register and input data into the portal.
-Failure to verify DCR compliance through the portal may lead to MNRE-specified actions.
-The DCR program promotes domestic manufacturing, with recent winners including Emmvee Photovoltaic Power, Vikram Solar, and ReNew supplying modules for NTPC projects in Gujarat.
