Longi Green Energy sets a new world record for crystalline silicon solar module efficiency at 25.4%, verified by Germany’s Fraunhofer ISE.
This marks the first time since 1988 that a Chinese company holds the top efficiency record for crystalline silicon modules.
The previous record of 24.9%, set by Maxeon in January 2024, has been surpassed by Longi’s HPBC 2.0 technology.
Longi’s milestone will be recognized by Prof. Martin Green and included in NREL’s “Champion Module Efficiencies” database.
The company is already close to achieving 24.8% efficiency in its mass-produced panels and continues improving its technology.
