Google- Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) has been awarded Navratna status, enhancing its financial and operational autonomy.
- SECI is a key player in India’s renewable energy sector, with 69.25 GW awarded capacity and over 42 billion units of annual power trading.
- In FY 2023-24, SECI reported a ₹13,118.68 crore turnover, a 20.85% increase, and a ₹510.92 crore Profit After Tax, marking a 34.89% growth.
- The Navratna status will enable SECI to expand geographically, innovate, and accelerate India’s transition to sustainable energy.
